Call for Inputs : OHCHR report on human rights implication of drug policy

In its resolution 60/26, adopted on 8 October 2025, the Human Rights Council requested OHCHR to prepare a report, in consultation with Member States, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and other relevant United Nations agencies, civil society and other relevant stakeholders, on “Human rights challenges in addressing and countering all aspects of the world drug problem, in particular on the impact of drug policies on the rights of women and girls”.

The report will be presented to the Human Rights Council at its sixty-third session, also in an accessible format. The Office will also share the report with the Commission on Narcotic Drugs, through the appropriate channels, as requested by the Council.
