West African Human Rights Defenders’ Network

Created in 2005, the West African Network of Human Rights Defenders (ROADDH) covers Mali, Mauritania, Guinea, Senegal, Gambia, Niger, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Cape Verde, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Togo, Benin, Ghana, Nigeria and Guinea Bissau. The organization’s Secretariat is based in Lomé, Togo. ROADDH is a member of the steering committee of the NGO forum as a prelude to the sessions of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights and the Human Rights Council Network, a network of NGOs which carry out advocacy actions with the Council of Human Rights of the United Nations.
