The Congress Secretariat is pleased to inform you that the Fifteenth United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (UN Crime Congress) will be held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, from 25 to 30 April 2026, with pre-session consultations scheduled for Friday, 24 April 2026.
The overall theme for this Congress is “Accelerating crime prevention, criminal justice and the rule of law: protecting people and planet and achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the digital age” in line with the General Assembly resolution 78/223.
NGOs that are not in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) are invited to apply for special accreditation in line with ECOSOC Resolution 1996/31, para 44.
The list of NGO applications is shared with Member States through the Extended Bureau of the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ).
If no objections are raised by a Member State, the NGOs are considered approved through a silence procedure.
Upon approval, NGOs will receive an official invitation letter, enabling them to register in INDICO (https://indico.un.org/) from 1 January 2026.
