James Keboo, Mombasa, Kenya

I am from Turkana. I have four children. I was carrying two passengers in my tuk tuk. When they reached their destination, l asked them for my payment, not knowing that they were police officers. Instead of paying, they called their colleagues. I was arrested and locked up in the police cells. They accused me of driving while drunk. I don’t even drink alcohol. I was sentenced to one month in jail or a KSh10,000 (US$100) fine. I couldn’t make bail.
