Women Beyond Walls is creating the first open-source global map of civil society groups supporting women who have been arrested, are on trial, are incarcerated, or have been released, as well as their children and families. The map will launch in September 2026.
Across the world, organisations doing vital work with criminalised and incarcerated women are often under-recognised and underfunded. This map aims to raise the visibility of this work, connect organisations across regions and sectors, identify gaps in support, and strengthen collaboration globally. The map will be free and open-source, and will be a valuable resource for the movement, donors, media, and others.
